no. 8 - two(plus)

I actually had a proper journal entry drafted, one that detailed my thoughts and observations to commemorate two months of marriage. That unexpectedly took a lot longer than I anticipated.

I knew what I wanted to say and yet I found myself either lost for words or eluded by the right terms or vocabulary that best articulated my thoughts. Joy, vulnerability, wonder, incredulousness and warmth are surprisingly emotions and thoughts that are terribly hard to articulate when very close to home.

So in the meantime, here's a short one to journal this feeling down - late last year I made the brilliant decision to book tickets to watch The Script in Singapore and proceeded to fall in love all over again with their songs - probably with a lot more intensity now since I visualise Danny and the band singing the song live each time it comes in. If you haven't already caught The Script live, you must - they are some incredible singers, musicians and performers.

We thereafter made the even more brilliant decision to request that Substance Films and Shili & Adi play songs by The Script for our video and walk in when they asked if we had any song preferences or themes that we would like them to follow.

Since then (being the wedding), every time The Script comes up on my playlist, and in particular the songs that were used by them,

(a) the live performance of the song replays in my mind (the video song particularly special since Danny surprised everyone by appearing 2m from our seats and played a set there which featured this very song and I felt a fuzz I continue to feel to this day); and

(b) I feel compelled to/ rewatch our express highlights video which I continue to love as much as I did the first time I saw it - and of course because I watch just a bit too much buzzfeed series, the number of times I've rewatched it truly makes it "Worth It" :D.

So here's to The Script, our brilliant vendors and 2+ months of marriage. With hope, I'll complete the original journal entry by the 3rd month !
